Guatemala
The Environment
Guatemala is home to lowlands as well as mountainous regions and hosts a tropical climate. Because it is quite diverse, Guatemala produces several distinct coffee varieties.
The Flavor
Due to the variety of regions in Guatemala, the flavors found in their beans can be quite different depending on where they were specifically grown. The beans we offer come from the Antigua region and are known for having notes of chocolate and apple, as well as floral notes.
Familia Coffee Co's Guatemalan Roast
Our Guatemalan beans hail from San Martin Jilotepeque, Chimaltenango where our partner family-owned farm has operated for four generations. The beans are naturally processed, meaning the fruit is allowed to dry whole, leading to those wonderful fruity notes. Our roast offers hints of strawberry, starfruit, and molasses.
