Mexico - Chiapas

The Environment

Chiapas, Mexico is a mountainous region with rich volcanic soil. This fertile land, in conjunction with high humidity and moderate round-year temps, greatly influences the flavor of the coffee it supports.

The Flavor

Beans grown in Chiapas are known for being exceptionally smooth and rich. They often bring forth notes of chocolate and nuts. Our specific Chiapas roast brings to mind hints of black cherry and chocolate.

Familia Coffee Co's Chiapas Roast

Our USDA Organic certified Chiapas roast features beans grown in Motozintla, Chiapas at an altitude of 1200-1750. The varieties include tipica and bourbon and they are washed processed.
